AVR ATtiny25 USB Physical Hit Counter
Getting bored of the websites general hit counter? Would you like to spice up your life with something different?

Well, you can have it by creating a bizarre AVR ATtiny25 USB physical hit counter.
Prepare these essential components:
- MCU
- 8 X 7 segment display
- AVR ATtiny25
- MAX7219
- 300mA, 9-12V DC/AC external power
Note: No USB Programming required in this project!
If you referred to the above circuit diagram, you will notice that the MAX7219 requires only three I/O from MCU. Christian Starkjohann has designed an outstanding USB firmware named ‘AVR-USB’. With the help of AVR-USB, we can directly implement USB interface on AVR microcontroller project, even without any USB hardware!
Some of the important matters you need to watch out:
The MAX7219 will require a 300mA, 9-12V DC/AC external power supply and this for avoid the overloading incident on USB bus.
A heat sink need to place at the regulator (IC1).
Bus-powered will be used for IC3. Hope you will enjoy this stuff. [read]
