Challenge Yourself with This High Power 24V DC DC Converter!
Have you ever tried to create a high power 24V DC DC Converter before? If you haven’t, do you have the gust to challenge yourself in this task?
Yep, today you’ll have the chance to develop a more challenging project, which it might need more concentration and patient on it!
Firstly, you’re starting the DC/DC assembly with the resistors and capacitors. Remember that all the assembly has to be started with the lowest height components!
Then, you have to mount a socket for the IC, and will move on to soldering the TO220 packages, which it’s mostly consist of mosfets and diode. All of the components are connected directly to a copper plane. Thus, you have to adjust the soldering iron up to 400-500 celsius degrees, if you want it to have a good junction here!
After it, is time to mount at the end the inductor and the input/output capacitors.
Test the circuit, by simply power supply the circuit with 12V and with a light load measure the output voltage. Then, set via P1 the right voltage and make sure there are no components with high temperature! [link]
