MSP-EXP430FR5739 board have just arrived

Over a week ago I've got a notice that Texas Instruments (TI) is giving away a 50% coupon for MSP430_FRAM related devices. Without hesitation ordered their MSP-EXP430FR5739 TI experimenters board that price went down to $14.50 including free shipping.

With all functionality and on board peripherals included – its a give away. Experimenters board came in nice hard paper package that feels really solid and professional in hands.

Looks great. Hopefully FRAM technology will be entering in to other MCUs as well.

It's not a mistake. TI is generously making a hard to get item available. Where to use it can be seen in the first photo. It gets soldered on the edge of the card next to the jumpers. If one were to remove the jumpers, then I believe the pins on the tiny connector allow one to use the Spy Bi-Wire (2-wire JTAG) interface as mentioned in the specs. In the coming months there will be almost 100 reviews of the MSP-EXP430FR5739 kit on http://www.element14.com/community/roadTests/1030.
