Take a good look on the above figure; it is one of the Ericsson earliest phones. This model (Ericsson DE200) was actually from the 1930s or something. Although it’s an antique, but it fully stored with new wiring and microphone, nickel-plated rotary dial and authentic ring. Yeah, it’s an antique on it’s outer appearance, but fashionable in the inner part!

If you’re boring with the monotonous “Ding-Dong” sound doorbell, it’s time to use your imagination and create this unique doorbell phone!

Ok, first thing first, you must clean your phone with a rag dampened in one of those environmentally friendly orange-based cleaners. After it, you have to check up the capacitors inside the phone is still working or not. Kindly substitute them, if they’re not function anymore!

Next, connect the two incoming wires from the wall directly to the coils on the ringer. You can get it done, by either soldering them or using alligator clips. The ringer should be worked fine afterward.

Then, you have to open up the doorbell’s receiver and remove the circuit board. Clip the four wires connected to the speaker and batteries. Also, remember to strip the wires and solder only the two speaker wires together!

Lastly, connect the phone with the doorbell accordingly, and you’re done with it. Hope you’ll enjoy the lovely ringing doorbell sound!
