Laser Spirograph – the combination of the Past and Beyond
The 70’s is considered as the most wondrous and fantastic moment. With all of the bling bling accessories, the funky disco dancing style and all of the colorful outfits, this is simply marvelous!
If you born and raised up in the 70’s, then you must be very familiar with the Sprirograph toys, which it enable you to transform into a talent artist, even you cannot even draw a picture!
How about combine the 70’s Spirograph with the latest laser technology? Doesn’t it sound fascinating to you?
Ok, here are the steps for this magnificent “Laser Spirograph”:
- Cut a $1 laser pointer out of its casing and soldering some wire to it (This will ease the switch on and off process)

- The laser will shines on a mirror and the reflection bounces off another mirror, which have been mounted and projected on to a screen made from a 3×5 card. Pair of Lego motors is needed in this project.

- A 9V supplier can be used to supply 9V to the motors. The motors are fully controlled by PWM.

Lastly, the dot of the laser pointer is show up by first rotation, to the next in the familiar Spirograph-style images by sequence. [read]
