In able to deal with this project, you may acquire some knowledge on the AutoCAD (Don’t worry, is only require the simple AutoCAD programming).

The Infra Red Hand-Pad (IR Hand-Pad) is the main part for this project. Therefore, we will put more efforts on it.

Firstly, we need to plot and cut the paper image from the wire side, and this for matching the board size. Glue and fix it on the copper surface.

Mark the pinholes with a sharp nail. After that, drill and cleaning the surface with 1 mm drill. Also, draw the wires by using Textmark 500 pen or other marker pens you want.

Next, we can leads the +5V through push button of hand-pad, to one or more pins of parallel port. You should leave them all open, it is important to set the same pins of receiver with accurate settings (If you didn’t setting it accordingly, the receiver will not decode the signal).

Also, remember to use the BC557A PNP transistor for this project, as to enable the current go from emitter to collector, and via the 220 ohm resistor without any problem. [source]
