What You Should Know about the Organic Light Emitting Diode!
Do you have any ideas what this Organic Light Emitting Diode about? Well, most of the people will think it is only an ordinary diode like others, where the truth is this little stuff is far beyond your imagination!
For your acknowledgement, an Organic Light Emitting Diode, which sometimes also known as Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) or Organic Electro Luminescence (OEL) is any Light Emitting Diode that can emissive electroluminescent layer and it’s highly composed of a film of organic compounds! Most of the time, the layer will contains a polymer substance, which it allows those suitable organic compounds to be deposited on it. Basically, they are deposited in rows and columns formation onto a flat carrier by a simple “printing” process. As a result, the final matrix of pixels can be emitted light of different colors.
The Organic Light Emitting Diodes were frequently being used in electronic appliances, such as television screens, computer displays, mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 Players, and High Definition Screens etc. Beside that, OLEDs can also be used in light resources for general space illumination, and those large area light emitting elements as well!
However, there is also a disadvantage of Organic Light Emitting Diode, where it is typically emit less light per area than inorganic solid stated based LED.
